A: A very immature question, you are not very old are you. Both cars have their features and benefits which would appeal to different people. If there was one perfect car we would all be driving it.
Niether of those cars is best for the normal motorist due to many reasons. Both are old tech old designs from about 7 years ago and there are much better cars around in the same price range now.

Q: Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Gas Guzzler Tax?!?
I had a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, and it’s suppose to escape the gas guzzler tax, but then I went to http://www.epa.gov/fueleconomy/guzzler/420b08016.pdf today and saw that the 2009 Corvette with the LS3 are listed on the Tax list, what about my Z06?! They said “It’s the first and only 500 hp car to escape Gas Guzzler Tax” Please Help!!!

Forgot to mention, I was thinking about getting a 2009 Z06, so is the price increased or something by the gas guzzler tax? And please no mean things!

A: This tax, whatever the status of it, is another example of the Democrats trying to social engineer by regulation and tax. Instead of allowing oil companies and others to drill and open more supply, and letting the marketplace find the correct mix of coal, carbon, and other energy sources, THEY want to use taxes to tell you what you can buy, what you can drive, etc. If you can drive a 500 horsepower car, do it, if not, park it or sell it. First step in ending this madness is to REPLACE the congress. Not with Republicans, Democrats or Independents, but with truly Conservative legislators who will use tried and true methodology to fix this mess.

Q: Chevrolet Corvette Z06 or Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet?

A: Go for the 911. The corvette is nice and is probably faster in a straight line but seriously the 911 is much much much better to drive, it’s built well i.e not out of plastic and will probably hold its value better than a z06.

Oh and also the 911 has 2 small seats in the back which can just fit adults on short journeys, whereas the z06 only has 2. Hope that helps.

A: Even though John Ligenfelter himself has been dead for almost six years, his company has continued to deliver top notch work. Both cars are around the same price. If i am correct, the Z06 is still a few thousand more then the fully loaded GT-R @ around 70,000 Msrp. Corvette was always been an american favorite, but would be think the same if the GT-R was advertised more? americans RARELY hear about Skyline’s. Keep in mind, the GT-R is the least expensive car able to run 0-60 in just 3.5 seconds. thats faster then a ferrari, and corvette. But as you all know as well, the corvette also has unbeatable options. What is your input?

A: Two days ago I purchased a 2009 Z06 with 3LZ interior (really nice in my humble opinion), 7000 miles for 60K. I would guess they would take 63 to 65K, depending on how motivated they are to move it.

I looked for used GT-R’s and always found them quite expensive. Also there is the issue of the launch control. If it has been deployed it can void your transmission warranty.

Personally I find the GT-R boring as far as looks go. In fact the 370Z looks considerably better to me.

Anyway, MY choice was a Red Z06 with Titanium interior.

I will say that it rides rather hard, especially on concrete road surfaces. Asphalt is much more forgiving.

Both cars are great automobiles and you can’t go wrong.

New GT-R’s are bumping 100K thanks to the dealers adding their premium. If you are a good negotiator you might find a used ZR1 for about that price.

The ZR1 will outperform any GT-R currently available.

A: the cost AUD is 113548. thats BEFORE importing costs. as the others have said, check with holden. they are for sure your best source. and to the other guy, you DONT own a Z06. almost every Z06 owner i know doesnt say bro…….also for you..newsflash…..the Z06 is NOT the fastest corvette. ever heard of the ZR1?! faster than the Z06. the ZR1 does 0-60 in 3.1 sec does the 1/4 mile in 10.8 sec and has a top end of 220 (with the limiter removed) limited it does 205. the Z06 only hits 198. brush up on your info man.

A: C1222 RF Wheel Speed Sensor Input Signal is 0
C1236 Low System Supply Voltage (traction control) likely a result of the RF wheel speed sensor.

1248 & 1254 do not appear to be valid DIC codes.

Q: Chevrolet Corvette Z06 or Dodge Viper SRT-10?

A: The Z06 of course. The SRT-10 might be a little faster than the Z06 in a straight line, but on the track the Z06 will destroy it. At $20,000 more than the Z06, the performance just doesn’t match with the price.

The more probable car is the Z06 also. It has a bigger trunk space, more MPG than the SRT-10, and also less expensive.

The Corvette Z06 will do 0-60 in 3.7 seconds while the SRT-10 will do it in a slight faster 3.6. Please don’t listen to the guys above me, the ZR-1 will absolutely destroy the SRT-10.

Some evidence of this is that on any track, the Z06 will destroy the SRT-10. One track is the Nurburgring Nordscehlife which is the legendary track where cars are pushed to their limits. The Dodge Viper laps it in 8 minutes while the Z06 completely leaves it in the dust as it laps the N’ring in 7:49. That’s faster than the Ferrari F430, Ferrari 559 GTB Fiorano, Lamborghini Gallardo, Lamborghini Murcielago, and also the Pagani Zonda F.

If I had the money to buy one of those cars, it would be the 2008 Chevrolet Z06.
