A: The Boxster was originally introduced in 1997, and it wasn’t until 8 years later that it received a major change with the introduction of the 987 version. There were a couple special editions released during that time, as well as small upgrades.

The Boxster’s current design is now about two years old, and it recently underwent some small upgrades. Porsche is a small company and generally they will not carry out major redesigns or product launches side by side… so, with that in mind:

The GT2 is coming out as a 2008 model, which will most likely be the only real change in 2008. The 4 door coupe will most likely be next on the horizon, with small upgrades to most models most likely covering the next couple years. A new Cayenne will likely wind up in there too, but could push other development out another year. Putting 2012 or 1013 as the likely earliest model year you will see a major change to the Boxster platform.

However, if the exact timing will depend alot on current Boxster sales and how that continues to map out over the next couple years… depending on that, a 997 successor or new Cayman version could easily move ahead, meaning that a new Boxster could be as far off as 2015.

Q: Is the porsche boxter considered a girl car?
Is the Porsche boxter considered a girl car? And what about the Audi TT? Are they both considered girl cars? If so, why?

I’ve heard this claim about the boxter but never for the TT and I was just wondering about the rationale for this. Also, it seems to be mainly Americans who have this view — Europeans do not have this hangup it seems … any ideas?

A: girls drive cars
men drive trucks

Q: Insurance for a 16 year old with New Porsche Boxter?
Im 16, my parents say they will buy me a new porsche boxter, how much will insurance cost?
Your right! I cant afforid the car! but my parenst can! But i will have to pay for insurance and gas!

A: geico.com

Q: Where Can I find the exact interior dimension of a Porsche Boxter..?
Where Can I find the exact interior dimension of a Porsche Boxter?, like in inches or cm3…

A: www.porsche.com then you will see the country selector. You don’t need to go to the Contact Us section and e-mail anyone. Unless you’re are a serious consumer, don’t waste their time, that’s the whole purpose of putting dimensions on their website. You can find the car, and look at the specs.

Q: Which is a better sports car to buy: a 4-yr old Porsche Boxter worth £24 thou or new Audi TT worth £28 thou?
My husband is torn between these two options. He likes the Audi bec our current family car is an Audi and the fact that the choice is brand new, and service is not a problem, but still he says”a Porsche is a Porsche”.

A: Frankly, I would go for the Audi TT. From any point of view, this model is simply destroying Mercedes Benz. Indeed, the quote “a Porsche is a Porsche” is old fashioned. Anyway, if your husband insists on these second-hand Boxter, I would recommend you any 911. As the SLK, the Boxer is considered a cheap failure.

Q: Which to buy: Newer Porsche Boxter, or Older 911 Carrera?
With the finances I have, I’m looking into buying a used Porsche… Considering depreciation, repairs, etc- I’m considering either a 2003-2004 Boxter, or a 1999 911 Carrera. Both are within a couple thousand dollars of each other, the 911 has about 25,000 more miles. Both have about the same options. Any suggestions? Thanks!

A: I own both cars – a 2003 Boxster and a 2001 911 (996). The key to owning a Porsche is to buy something that fits your budget. Budget means price of the car and cost of ownership. The Boxster will cost less to maintain, to insure and repair costs will be less (due to being a newer car with lower mileage and probably not pushed like a 911). Keep in mind that a simple 15,000 mile service at Porsche is about $720. You can find a good independent shop that will do the job for $250. The next service (30,000 miles) is painfully expensive $2,500 at Porsche and $800-$1,200 at an independent shop. If you get 18″ wheels, the rear tires are 265/35/18 ($300-350 each – tire shops are going to push Porsche N spec tires – they don’t want to get sued for selling regular Z rated tires). Fronts are better at $250 ish, again Porsche N spec tires.

The 1999 911 Carrera is a wonderful car. Great handling, steering, power and also a comfortable car to drive … did I mention power! If you get the 911, make sure its a stick shift. Automatics are very difficult to resell. When you get the feel of the 911, you can drive the car at crazy speeds (tops out near 180). The car rips through corners (you need to keep the throttle down – the weight stays back, which keeps the tires pushed down). If you live in an area with lots of rain/snow, keep the 911 in the garage. The 911 is very rear biased (weight) and the tail gets loose easliy. PSM (stability control) does help, but when you hit a corner hard and the tires give, you’ll find it very hard to correct and if you throttle lift, you’re in a lot of trouble.

The Boxster is also a wonderful car. It is an incredibly well balanced car, great road feel and steering feedback, has good power and is very comfortable to drive. Trunk space is pretty good, since you have a nice deep front compartment and an ok size rear compartment. You only have two seats though, where the 911 has four (the rears are pretty worthless). Interior is also updated on the Boxster – newer steering wheel, stereo, has a glove box (911 doesn’t) and feels newer inside. You do lose two gauges on the Boxster, compared to the 911 and the digital speedometer readout is not directly in the center of the dash, like the 911. You get the bonus of a power convertible top. The chassis is rock solid with no cowl shake (the 911 chassis is more solid, but you’re comparing a coupe to a convertible). The downfall about a convertible is road noise (even with the top up) and security/vandalism is an issue. The Boxster handles better than the 911 (I’ve taken corners at speed and the Boxster doesn’t get loose). Boxsters top out at 150+, so for most, this is plenty.

Here’s a simple summary: If you’ve never owned a rear/mid engine Porsche, buy the Boxster. You’re going to give up a little speed/power, but you’ll enjoy lower maintenance costs. The Boxster is easier to drive, has the additional fun factor of a convertible and the car gets looks (I turn more heads in the Boxster vs the 911). If you’ve owned a rear/mid engine Porsche and feel comfortable with the rear weight bias, then go for the 911. You know what a car feels like when the back gets squirmy and you know not to throttle lift when things get hairy. As you near traction limits, you will be working the 911, while the Boxster just goes smoothly through.

One final note. If you get the Boxster, you can always move up to a 911 later (after you get the feel of Porsche and the dynamics of the car). If you get the 911 and its too much car, you won’t get the enjoyment you paid for.

Good luck and I wish you many years of enjoyment driving your new Porsche!

Q: What color convertible top would you have for a Porsche Boxter in Meteor Metallic Grey?
here is a pic of the color…

http://incontrol.nexteppe.com/images/vehicles/WP0AB29918S731399_01.jpg

black or stone grey. I dont like the other colors. Which would look best?
what do you think about the color of the actual car?
Do you think its worth the extra couple thousand to get the hard top roof?

A: It looks better in gray.

The Coupe or hardtop handles better than the convertible(cabriolet) because it is stiffer so I would pay the extra money for it.

Q: any idea where i can get a spare key for my 1999 porsche boxter other than the dealer?
i need a spare key for my porsche boxster. the dealer wants several hundred dollars. i am down to 1 key so any help is much appreciated. -sc

A: Go here for the remote http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KEY-REMOTE-PORSCHE-HAA-KEYLESS-TRANSMITTER-NO-RESERVE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33723QQihZ003QQitemZ130190929716QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

And go here for the blade

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HAA-REMOTE-BLANK-KEY-BLADE-FOR-PORSCHE-BOXSTER-911-968_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ40016QQihZ012QQitemZ220194293920QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Take the blade to a REAL Locksmith and have him cut the blade and put it in the head. The head will still have to be programmed but it will be at least half of the Stealerships!!!

Q: i want to buy a porsche boxter 2002 with 30000 miles on it, is porsche boxter parts expensive ?
Porsche boxter parts.

A: Nothings cheap. Make sure that there is no leak from the rear main seal. Also be prepared for roughly $ 150- 200 oil changes. Tune ups are around $800.

Q: What is the BEST warranty to get on my 2003 Porsche Boxter S that has 41K miles & would cover ALL,even tun up?
& also the changing of the distribution chain & all the plastic component in the engine?

A: i would get fire insurance…then light it..
just teasing you a bit..something like you describe would be a dealer program…
i hope you enjoy the car…
p.s. freedom of speech is dead on yahoo..
if in politics you say anything negative
about bush ,Clinton, obama, illegals or Islam …etc
you can kiss your account bye bye..
i have lost several level 5 and 6 accounts

Q: I have a 2001 Porsche Boxter and the window wipers and license plate lights are no longer working?
I already changed bulbs and checked all the fuses. Any idea what could be the problem? My inspection is due next month, yikes?

A: the Porsche boxter has two fuses for some things on it,,check the second fuse box on it,and see if any in it is blown, there’s a master fuse and then there’s a slave fuse on it,I’m thinking the slave fuse has blown on it,the owners manual tells where the other ones are for it,,good,,luck,i hope this help,s.

Q: What’s more comfortable, bmw 3-series of porsche boxter?
Also, bmw 5-series or porsche carrera?

A: The 3 is definitely more comfortable than a Boxter.

It’s a toss-up between the 5 and the Carrera. Why? Well, I’d rather have the Carrera, but the 5 is definitely more of a luxury car. When you buy a sports car like a Carrera, performance is immanently more important than comfort.

Q: how do you reenforce a window for boxter porsche that can slide when someone pushes on it?
my window is slideable and can be potentially stolen if nothing gets solven. how do I reenforce so that the window when pushed on cannot be sliden down. (tape doesn’t work)

A: install a locking mechanism activated form the inside of the car…
just cut a hole in your panel under the window…
then just place a little brace in there where the bottom of the window is…
this WILL work…you just have to cut into your interior…

Q: how to open the door on 1999 porsche boxter when the battery is dead?

A: put the key in the drivers door turn full to left and then to right and then left again and it should open the lock,

Q: 2004 Porsche Boxter S ! What is ur opinion ? Are they good ,reliable & fun ? How many miles could u put on…?
…could u put on one before they start giving trouble ? I got an offer to buy a 2004 Porsche boxter S, 38000 miles on it for 39K. It has Automatic speed, Navigation sys. & all the options. It is in excellent cond. & had one owner only.
Do u think it is a good deal ? Could i put on it up 100000 miles without hoving major problems ?
Advice NEEDED !!!

A: Porsche has the highest customer satisfaction rating in the world. It’s a German car. they ove engineer everything. I think you will find it is quite possible with regular maintenance to get much more then 100k out of it.
I have two BMWs, one has 300 km on it already and still drives and runs like a dream. Have fun with it.

A: It will likely appear at certain major autoshows as early as 2009… though for most auto shows, 2010 or even 2011 will be the point where it can be readily seen (this has been the pattern with prior high end releases by Porsche).

However, of you have all the current models, your best bet would be to talk to your salesman at the dealership, as they will be quite anxious to assist you… locally, the PCA guys here that have 2 or even three current models tend to get royal treatment from their dealer and have been readily put at the top of waiting lists for new models as well as given loaners of new cars to help them make up their mind on what options they want. They will be able to give you much more information, and given the amount you’ve spent, will likely be able to arrange for something more (if you are also purchasing any of the new models coming, they will almost certianly arrange a preview at the factory if you take European Delivery).

Q: What do you guys think of the new Porsche Panamera? When will it be in the dealerships? Is Porsche part of VW?
Another car that interests me that I could consider. How do you guys think it looks? I kinda like the hatchback look. How do you guys think it will perform? And most importantly, which every answer I get is different, is Porsche part of VW?!

A: The Panamera looks like it could be a very successful car for Porsche, and on paper certainly seems well matched against it’s BMW and MB competitors. Time will tell how the car does and how it’s styling holds up. Personally I find the looks a little odd, but have yet to see one in person – I suspect I may like the looks in real life better than it’s looked in pictures.

It looks like it will offer excellent performance, especially for a car that will be as heavy as it is (though it looks like it will tip in a little less than much of it’s competition).

The first US deliveries should have already taken place, but it will most likely not be a common site at dealerships for some months still (probably September-October will be when most pre-orders are delivered).

As for the company – at present it looks like Porsche and VW will merge (or more specifically, form a new holding company which will then hold both companies as one entity).

Historically, the two have often been linked as Dr. Porsche was the designer of the original VW Bug (though he also had ties as a designer to pretty much every German auto maker), and the early Porsches were designed to use many VW parts since these were some of the few readily available parts in post-war Germany when Porsche started operation. Further, many members of the Porsche family have been and currently are on the Board of VW.

Confusing the issue in the US is that VW dealers were the original point of sales for Porsche in the US. As Porsche grew, many dealers became VW-Porsche dealers, confusing many into thinking that VW owned Porsche (they didn’t, they merely shared a sales and distribution organization in the US). In recent years, VW’s plummeting stock prices led to Porsche purchasing more than 50% of VW… something that has now led to Porsche being stretched too far under current credit issues (complicated by things like launching the Panamera), which is why the two are currently looking to merge into one company.

Q: Why is the upcoming Porsche Panamera classified as a sedan?
every time i see the Panamera it looks as if has a 5th door. The body shape suggests hatchback to me. However every time it is mentioned it is called a sedan?
i understand it has foor doors but it very clearly looks like a hatchback
the Audi A4 wagon has four doors and back seat

A: it’s a 4-door. hence, it’s a sedan.

Q: What do you think of the new porsche panamera?
im looking to get a car and i like the panamera but i want to know what others think of it.

A: I’ll withhold judgment on the Panamera until I see it in person. I currently own a 911 Turbo and I owned an air-cooled 911 coupe previously. The Panamera’s performance will be stellar.

Of course, this will be an expensive car — near the $100,000 mark for the base model. Because the supply is likely to be extremely limited at first, dealers will likely charge big premiums. How big? A brand new Porsche GT2, which lists at $194,000, generally sells in the U.S. for between $250,000 and $300,000.

The Panamera’s interior will be beautiful and extremely functional. You won’[t see “pillow-top” leather seats like those in the big BMWs. Porsche believes that form follows function: they leave out the crap.

Q: What do you think of the Porsche Panamera?
I saw it on the website, and I think I’m in love. What do you think?

Here’s a picture: http://blog.koormann.de/files/porsche-panamera-1.png

A: So, I finally got to see one in person. Beautiful. If you think this looks like a Mitsubishi, you need new glasses!

LOTS of the big BMWs and Mercedes, that cost as much or more, are going to be redesigned in the next couple of years. A Bentley Flying Spur costs nearly $200,000, and is one pigmobile.

I haven’t driven one yet, and that’s likely to be a long time coming; however, I did talk to someone who got behind the wheel (I was at the Porsche Parade in Keystone, CO): “It’s a sports car, an honest-to-goodness four-door sports car!”

Porsche doesn’t fool around with the fru-fru (pillow top seats? BMW, what are you thinking?); everything in its place and falling naturally to hand.

Remember, this is a four door sedan, not a 911 Turbo. Compare it to an S65 AMG Mercedes ($200,000), not to a Ferrari. Beautiful!

Added:
I owned a 1996 (993) air-cooled 911 coupe. I loved that car, but had to sell it to buy my new one. Most collectors and afficionados consider the 993 to be the epitome of “old Porsche” design. The 1996 couldn’t hold a performance candle to my 2005 911.

Q: What do you think of the Porsche Panamera as a police pursuit vehicle?
500HP
all wheel/four wheel Drive
twin clutch 7 speed auto

back seats for detaining non violent pot smokers and cop killers alike

what do you think? all “buy american” aside

A: A huge waste of money. There are very very few places where a high speed pursuit vehicle is necessary, and the currently-used Cameros with the Z06 engines are more than sufficient.

In the vast majority of situations, raw speed and all wheel drive are not even in the top 5 most important things in a police vehicle. Take a look at how the Impala is designed, and you’ll get an idea of what a police-optimized vehicle from the ground up looks like.

Q: Why the negativity on the Porsche Panamera?
The Porsche Panamera is a good idea for me i always wanted a 911 porshce but thought it was too small but the panamera is so convenient (well for me) more space in front and in the back
what are your thoughts..And if you are one of the people who think its a bad car to add to the porsche line up please give me a reason
looking forward for your comments

A: This is nothing new… some will cry that the Panamera is a sign that the company has lost it’s way and proof that it’s no longer producing the kind of car that made it what it is. The same cry that went up when the Cayenne was introduced… and the same cry that went up when the 928 was introduced… and really, the same cry that came from some when the 901 was first introduced (before it was relabelled the 911).

Logically thinking, a Porsche is a car made by Porsche.. thus the Panamera is as much a Porsche as a 1973 911 RS. They come from the same source, although there are many many differences between them. However, if you look around, you’ll find some that will say a Porsche is a car that is a two door sports car, the Panamera isn’t a Porsche. Or that a Porsche is a two door sports car with an engine behind the driver, thus the Panamera, 924/944/968, 928, Cayenne, etc are not real Porsches. Then the set of people that think it also has to be air cooled, and rear engined (not just behind the driver, but behind the rear axel), and thus all the current cars and… well, everything other than the 356, 911, and 912 are pretty much not real Porsches. For any of these people, the introduction of a new car that will define Porsche for many people is seen as a terrible thing.

The Panamera iteself sounds great on paper, and makes sense as a market segment that Porsche should be involved in. The pictures are not the most flattering so far, but it may look better in person as that often happens. The biggest negitive around the Panamera right now is that it’s coming out in the midst of such poor economic times, which is less than ideal for the company given the amount it’s invested in development and that it will now likely not be able to recoup that for a much longer period than had originally been planned.

Q: How is the ‘10 porsche panamera compared to the 2010 Merc s550?
I need somebody who knows what they’re talking about! which one is more comfy? which one is safer? which one is more sporty? why? everything u can possibly think of!!! thanks a lot!!!!!! DETAIL!!!!

A: It depends on what trim levels of either car. The S550 doesn’t do Mercedes justice compared to the Panamera, you have to look at the big, bad@$$ AMG models to get a decent comparison. In a recent road-and-track comparo, MOTOR Magazine Australia compared the top-spec S63 AMG, with the 6.2L naturally aspirated V8, to the similarly top-spec Porsche Panamera Turbo, with a twin-turbocharged 4.8L V8.

The Panamera is more sophisticated, and safer, but the S63 is more fun to drive, more powerful, more comfortable in its ride, and delimited it would leave the Panamera for dust, and a better sound to match. Interior quality goes to the Panamera, whereas exterior looks certainly favour the S63, especially compared to the ‘Mera’s hideous rear-end.

It’s the fun-factor where the S63 also starts to leave the Panamera for dead. The Panamera behaves, well, like a 4-door 911 as that’s essentially what it is, which means it’s the more nimble of the two, but the Big Merc combines more horsepower-per-tonne with a tail-happy sports suspension setup (and rear-wheel-drive, which may be a deal-breaker if you live in snowy conditions; the Panamera Turbo is all-wheel-drive) to produce a fun drive with, if you choose, lots of slidey-slidey rubber-burning fun. Despite weighing in at just under 4500 pounds (the S63 weighs 4400 pounds, the Panamera 4343 pounds), the 63 really shifts something spectacular.

The conclusion to the MOTOR review was that the S63 won by “the smallest of margins” for its plush ride, brilliant sound from the massive 6.2L powerhouse, and its looks.

Q: PORSCHE Panamera 4 Door Turbo Sport Sedans?
Anyone ordered their Panameras?
I ordered 5 with turbos and I will personally pick them up in Stuttgart,Germany
It’s not for me! I have”clients” that don’t want to personally handle these types of transactions!

A: No, but I sat in one the other day. What a lucky man you are, Kris!

Q: How much will the Porsche Panamera cost?
And when will it come out?

-Thanks!

A: When it goes on sale in the fall of 2009, the rear-wheel-drive Panamera will offer a choice of two V-8 engines. Four-wheel drive won’t come before 2010. The powerplants, loosely based on the V-8 in the Cayenne, switch to direct injection and grow to 4.8 liters. The normally aspirated engine will make about 400 hp, and the turbocharged version should be good for 500 hp. The base model tips the scales at nearly 4000 pounds. With bigger tires and brakes plus other modifications, the Panamera turbo will weigh a substantial 4300 pounds–no featherweight, but three quarters of a ton less than a Cayenne Turbo. The turbo is said to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds and have a top speed of 188 mph.
In 2010, an entry-level V-6 model likely will be added. Equipped with a 300-hp, 3.6-liter V-6 supplied by Volkswagen, this variant is said to be capable of 155 mph. A year later, Porsche will launch a hybrid, powered by a combination of the V-6 and a 100-hp electric motor. The 175-mph hybrid is supposed to blend the performance of a standard 911 with the fuel economy of a base Boxster.
Also on its way is a dual-clutch automatic transmission. The seven-speed paddle-shift gearbox will be an alternative to the six-speed manual. Ceramic-composite brakes and active dampers also will appear on the options list.
According to chairman Wendelin Wiedeking, the annual sales target for the Panamera is 20,000 units, but as is typical of Porsche, that number is a major understatement. According to an internal document, the goal for the first full year of production exceeds 27,000 cars, and a year later demand is expected to peak at more than 30,000. In America, prices for the Panamera should range from about $75,000 to $115,000.

Q: Porsche Panamera or Fisker Karma?
ohh man im having a tough debate whether or not to get the 2010 Porsche Panamera 4S, or the 2010 Fisker Karma. Fisker has exterior win, both have a beautiful interior, but Fisker has unbeatable fuel economy. Im aiming towards the fisker, but i just wanna see what you guys think.

A: I like both.

Both are unique, both are sophisticated, both are good cars.

The Fisker is better looking, the Porsche is more practical.
Neither one is “overrated”.

It come down to, do you want to have to plug in the Fisker every 50 miles? Or would you rather just fill up the porsche with petrol and keep going.

The Fisker Karma is almost a step backwards when you think about it.

if you have multiple cars, get the Fisker Karma. If this will be your primary car, get the Porsche Panamera.

Q: What cars does the Porsche Panamera AWD compete with?

A: the worlds ugliest dog.
http://blogs.krxq.net/files/2009/06/2007ugliestdog.jpg
i thinnk the panamera is uglyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Q: what would handle better a Mercedes 2008 e350 or a Porsche panamera?

A: I researched a long list of cars versus the Porsche Panamera Turbo (There are four different Panameras.) a while back on Answers. I only considered sedans (four doors). That list included only one Mercedes — the 65 AMG, the big one. It included the Bentley Flying Spur, the Maserati Quadroporte, the new supercharged Jaguar, the Aston Martin Rapide, a Lamborghini, etc., etc.

People can throw all sorts of subjective ideas into such a question: “best boulevard cruiser with rear dishwasher to handle my champagne flutes (Bentley),” “best pillow soft ride,” etc. I ignored that and concentrated on handling.

People like to use 0 to 60 time as a measure of performance. It hardly tells all, but here are the results of the comparison: Panamera Turbo easily beat everything else with two exceptions: the Mercedes 65 AMG, which tied it in 0 to 60 at 4.0 seconds, and the Cadillac CTS-V, which beats both at 3.9 seconds. All three of these cars are faster in this test than the original Lamborghini Diablo.

I’ve ridden in a Panamera 4S (AWD like the turbo, but with only 400 HP) and watched that car perform in a Porsche Club autocross. I’d quickly take this car over all the others, including the much heavier and more expensive Mercedes. In a test of the big Mercedes, Top Gear complained that it tended to overheat when pushed hard.

Q: how is the ‘10 porsche panamera compared to the 2010 Merc s550?
I need somebody who knows what they’re talking about! which one is more comfy? which one is safer? which one is more sporty? why? everything u can possibly think of!!! thanks a lot!!!!!! DETAIL!!!!

A: There has been no comparison testing between other luxury cars and the Porsche Panamera yet. You will have to wait for the results. When I buy mine sometime in 2019 I will give you my personal driving impressions of a used one.

Q: porsche panamera oil change procedure?
how is it done, where is the oil filter, where is the sump drainage.

A: www.rennlist.com but I don’t think anyone is doing their own oil changes on the car as yet.

A: Well like many cars now days:

You need to check out your manual if by any chance you don’t have it.
Many manufacturers uses the same warning sounds in example my Acural TL Type-S will beep 3 times if i: Don’t buckle my seat-belt (when i insert my key in the slot) Or if i missed the Performance Routine Check (when there is in ignition) 3 beeps for the same thing

Try to check it out buckle up first without opening the key to ignition then start the car if it stop then is the Seat-Belt warning.
If not then it may be the Routine Performance Check (in example Oil Change) and there perhaps will be an Icon on the Instrument panel for performance check that will go off all the time if you keep prolonging it (You can Reset it if Lousy but Not advisable)

Hope it Helps

Q: How do I reset the service light on Audi A6 after I change the oil?
Hello I just bought an Audi A6 2004 and the service light just came on to let me know its due for an Oil change. I am going to do it myself if I can, once I have finished how do I reset the light so it comes on again at the right time frame?

A: 2 different methods seem to be working

1) Switch ignition off.
2) Press and hold down reset button for trip odometer in instrument cluster.
3) Switch ignition on while button is pressed down. “Service OIL” appears in the display of the trip odometer.
4) Release button.
5) Pull setting knob for time in instrument cluster until “Service OIL” indication is reset.
“- – -” appears in display.
6) Press reset button for trip odometer again, to advance to next service event.
7) Release button. “Service INSP” appears in display.
Pull setting knob for time -1- until “Service INSP” indication is reset. “- – -” appears in display.
9) Switch ignition off.

1. Leave the key in the off position.
2. Hold down the right button the guage cluster.
3. While you are still holding the right button turn the key to the on position
4. Quickly (it will say something on the guage cluster) push and hold the left button on the guage while still holding down the button on the right.

And for the VAG-COM comment…I HIGHLY agree with investing in one…very practical and helpful

Q: How to find the Gas button on a 02 Audi A6?
I just bought a 02 Audi A6 3.0 yesterday and I cannot find where to push the gas button. Usually on the side there is a lever for the gas and the trunk, but I cannot find the gas one. Can someone please help and tell me where it is so I can finally put some gas in my car.

A: Just press the unlock button on your key fob. There is no separate unlock button for the fuel door. It is locked by a piston connected to a motor. You can also unlock it by pressing the button to unlock your car doors from inside the car, or turning the key in the trunk lock. That will also unlock or lock all 4 doors and set the alarm.

And if that piston motor ever dies, there is a red latch cord you can pull inside the cubby hole in the truck on the right side. You just have to remove that cover and reach in there.

Q: How do I install a Aftermarket cd player in a 1998 Audi A6 With Bose?
I want to add a Aftermarket CD Player in a 1998 Audi A6 that has a factory Bose system, I want to keep everything the same accept the head unit. Is there an adapter or soemething I need to Buy? Please Help!!! Thanks
I like the challenge, Im adding a dvd player and an overhead lcd screen.

A: Acura bose is COMPLETELY different than Audi bose. Though they are both junk, the acura doesnt need a complete rewire and replacement. The nig reason is that a am almost 100% positive that EVERYTHING would need to be replaced, all speakers included. The fact of the matter is that if from the factory they are 1 ohm speakers, then you cant use them and gotta replace it, and if youre asking you probably dont know how to do it and youre gonna screw up your 40,000 dollar luxury car in some way.

Q: How many converters does the 2001 Audi A6 have?
I have a 2001 audi a6, the check engine light came on and I took it for a code check and it came out to be the catalytic converter. I recently replace them and the check engine light is still on, someone told me that the audis have 4 cataltics 2 on the bittom and 2 on top. Is this true?

A: Yes it has 4 total 2 pre and 2 main. They are sold as units however so if you had the left side replaced they would have done both. Where did you have them replaced at? I guess a muffler shop could weld in a single unit and not replace the pre-cat. There could be other reasons the light is on also.

Q: Why are some 2003 Audi A6’s Have dual exhaust on different sides while some have them next to each other?
I was looking at 2003 audi a6’s some have an exhaust on each side while some have two exhausts together like the bmw 3 series.

A: I believe the last poster is closest to the correct answer.
It is all dependant on the engine size. A6 have three possible engine sizes from that year. A standard 6-cyl (3.0) a turbo 6 (2.7T) and a V-8 (4.2). The 6-cylindar engine has a single exhaust manifold to a single exhaust pipe system. This means the two tips on one side of the car.
The twin-turbo and the v-8 have segregated manifolds for each side of the engine block, hence for the turbo and the v-8, dual exhaust tips.

Q: I have a 1999 Audi A6 anyone knows the specs on the alternator?
I was wondering on the stock 1999 Audi A6, how many watts is the alternator pushing out?

A: You mean amps…130.

Q: When to change a timing belt on a Audi A6?
I just purchased a 2004 Audi A6 with about 59,000 miles on it. I don’t have the actual manual so I don’t know when is the proper time to have the timing belt changed. Does anyone know when this is supposed to happen? Its a 3.0 if that helps.

A: 80k miles, and change out the Water Pump at the same time as the impeller is plastic and it WILL break eventually. Horrible design really.

Q: What is the phone jack in my Audi A6 armrest for?
So the other day I was driving a rental Audi A6 (It was a loaner while my A6 was getting some work done) and noticed a phone jack in the armrest. It looks like a phone jack plug for a land line phone or a jack to connect to the internet?
Does anybody have any information on this?

A: for a phone dummy lol

Q: How can I reset radio after changin battery for audi a6 2000?
I just changed my battery for my audi a6 year2000 but I cannot reset the radio. I have the code.

A: Make sure you have the radio code found inside your model information packet inside your glovebox…it will be on the radio and communications pamphlet. It is in safe-mode right now, so press and hold the FM button and the scan button until 1000, or whatever number is stored in your safe mode, appears. Enter your code by selecting the pre-set radio station buttons until the corresponding number appears; press and hold the FM button and scan button again and your radio should be reset.

Q: How do you turn on air conditioner in Audi A6?
I just bought a 1999 Audi A6. I tried turning on the air and it looks like it should be on, but maybe I’m pushing the wrong buttons?? I got the air to come on for a second because I barely felt it coming out but I tried to make it blow harder and I shut it off somehow. I might add it WAS cold, just not a lot was coming out. I am not used to all this luxury in a car! Please help.
I tried that, and it sounds like its trying but nothing comes out. Is it possible the blower went out?! How much does that cost to replace?

A: Hit the “+” button a couple times, display should have a snow flake

Q: How do I fix the brake lights on my Audi A6?
I have an Audi A6 and I have been getting a warning light that says to check my “brake ligthts”. My regular brake lights work fine. The row of small brake lights in the rear window have three lights that are out, but all the rest in the row are working.
Is this a fuse problem or do I need to change the three bulbs? If it’s the bulbs, how do I change them?
Changing a fuse or a light bulb does NOT require a mechanic!!!!

A: If its just 3 lights its not a fuse. If it the LED lights I think you have to replace the hole unit. If its not just start taking things apart till you get to the lights, Im not sure of the specifics for the sedan since I have an avant, but for me there are just a couple screws and then everything thing else pops off with plastic tabs, be careful not to break any.

Q: how can i turn on the radio in a 1999 audi a6 ?
Hi, i just bought a 99 audi A6, and i couldnt get the radio to work. does could anybody help me out?

A: the 4 digit security code is usually on a sticker that is placed on the rear trunk lid (next to the vehicle ID sticker)….try the code “1111″ because some dealers, if they buy it while the radio is locked, will have it changed to 1111….

which kind of radio do you have (bose? wiesbaden?)

look here:

http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/trouble_shooting/radiocode.html

Q: How do you turn off the fans in an 2009 Audi A6?
My buddy has a 2009 Audi A6 and he asked if I could help him turn the fans to the “OFF” posistion. I was like no problem! We fiddled with it for quite some time before giving up. There is no off button, we tried turning the fans down all the way we even went into advanced options but couldnt figure out how the heck to get the fans “OFF!”
doesnt have book….

A: Any time the A/C compressor is engaged, the fans will be ON to prevent boiling of the refrigerant. If you have an “econ” mode, (and I am sure you do) the fans should shut down, since the compressor is turned off. Try replacing your cooling fan switch, which WAS a problem in some Audi cars. Many libraries carry the “ALLDATA” data base. Using this will enlighten you on proper functioning of ALL audi engine systems. GOOD LUCK!!

Q: Where can I get to download free user manual a 1998 Audi A6?
Just acquired a 1998 A6 and the Outside Temp read out and the Fuel to distance display suddenly went blank. Meanwhile tank guage still functions. Immediately prior however, the tank guage and the said fuel to distance display had started to behave erratically. Any ideas what to do as am new to Audi.

A: You can buy one from Ebay just type in 1998 Audi A6 Owners manual it’s selling for $20

A: They have been in production and up For Sale for the past 2 months in the USA. The 2011 535i and 550i where the only ones available for purchase 2 months ago, the 2011 528i sedan just hit dealers about 1 week ago. The 2011 BMW 528i sedan is cheaper then its previous predecessor, the starting price for the entry class 2011 BMW 528i is listed to sell at $44,550 with a National MSRP $45,975 while its 2010 predecessor priced at $45,800 at an MSRP of $47,225. The 2011 BMW 528i has 240 HP which is 10 more HP then its previous predecessor with 230 HP. The 2011 BMW 5 series competes head to head with the 2011 Infiniti M-class, Audi A6, Mercedes E-class and the Lexus GS.

(Starting prices for each 2011 5 series Trim, MSRP includes “H&D” fee aswell as the “Gas Guzzler Tax fee”)
2011 BMW 528i – $44,550……………MSRP $45,975
2011 BMW 535i – $49,600……………MSRP $51,025
2011 BMW 550i – $59,700……………MSRP $60,575

This link will take you directly to the 2011 BMW 5 series Page so you can take a look. Play around a bit and build your own 5 series customized to your liking.

http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/content/vehicles/2011/5/528isedan/default.aspx

Q: 2011 BMW 5 Series or Mercedez-Benz E350?
My mom is buying a new car because her “reliable” 2007 Lexus ES is completely done. She wants a really nice car and is very interested in European models. I personally have heard great things about the Cadillac CTS-V but she wants something more exotic. I don’t think she’d like the Jaguar, new Infiniti M, or the Audi A6. So would you recommend the Mercedez-Benz over the new 2011 5 series (which “looks” awesome btw) or do you think a brand new BMW design has to be the clear winner here because of the fact that 1) BMW offers free service for years and 2) Mercedez-Benz’s are made up of many Ford parts?

Which car is better and more reliable in your opinion? Which won’t “break down” like her 2007 ES350 did in a disgusting fashion?

A: I hear great things about the new E-Class. I personally like the Mercedes Line better. The Mercedes cars don’t all look the same as each other unlike the BMW line. I have owned 2 Mercedes-Benz vehicles before and they have been very reliable. The E-Class looks great too. I think the E-Class is also less expensive. I would personally go for the benz

Q: Is the 2011 BMW 5-series as amazing of a car as everyone says?
My mom wants to buy the 535i but it’s too expensive. She is driving a 2007 Lexus ES350 which has 272 hp. The BMW 528i has 240 hp at 6600 RPM. Will the 2011 BMW 528i be more powerful and handle better than my mom’s 2007 Lexus ES350 even though it has lower horsepower?

Is the BMW 5 series, redesigned for 2011, really the “It” car that everyone seems to think it is? They have an amazing 4 year/50000 miles maintenance plan I’m told. I also feel BMW’s are better than Mercedez-Benz’s, but should my mom consider the Audi A6 or the new Infiniti M, Cadillac CTS, or Jaguar? My mom really prides herself on driving nice cars, and the Lexus basically failed her with many maintenance problems.

Should the BMW be #1 on her list? Is it “that” good?

A: Yes it is awesome and I LOVE it but……

The Cadillac CTS V had 304 hp and good for going 140mph in total comfort while smoking most other cars on the road.

Buy it.

Q: is the 2011 bmw 5 series sedan steering is like an audiand is it light as audi steering?
this bmw use electric power steering, is it same with latest audi a4 steering????

A: BMW steering is typically weighted to povide better road feel. On the current (outgoing) 5 steering the steering is very tight and weighted, I expect the new sedan to be similar but maybe a little lighter. i drove the GT and the steering seems typical BMW, nice and tight and weighted properly.

But, it’s a bigger car than the a4, the steering will be different for both cars.

Q: When will the 2011 BMW 5-series be released?
… for test drive and purchase? Anyone know?

A: According to the BMWNA Press Release, the Fall of 2010.

Q: What do you think of the new 2011 BMW 5 series?
http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/AllBMWs/FutureVehicles/20115SeriesSedan/ImageGallery.aspx

A: :::::::Be ready or at least in a mood to read =)::::::::
I can only praise BMW for redesigning the 5 series to meet the standards and expectations consumers demand for a vehicle of our generation. The boxy yet still luxurious current design is outdated when compared to the the styling Q’s in the current generation X6, 7 series, X5 etc etc. Overall I think the 2011 BMW 5series was will executed but nothing was done to captivate or stand out that the previous generation couldn’t offer excluding the fact that the 2011 5 series will now come equipped with an optional “park assist” feature like the Lexus LS flagship sedan has. I think the 2011 5-series is better looking then the current 5 series. Even though the 5 series is expected to come out into production real soon, new Luxury sedans will also await to compete against the 2011 BMW 5-series such as the entirely redesigned 2011 Infiniti M37/M56. Personally if I was given the choice between the 2011 BMW 5-series and the 2011 Infiniti M37 I would take the M37 with out a doubt. I feel Infiniti has stepped up their game, definitely out beating and stealing Lexus’s title as the #1 Japanese luxury vehicle in the US. Infiniti has proved itself a worthy rival to the BMW, Mercedes and Audi. Considering the fact that both vehicles will come into production sometime in the year 2010 to be introduced as a 2011 model, pricing will be vastly different. Ironically Infiniti has always been praised for good value in terms of price when compared to the Lexus GS, BMW 5 series and Mercedes E class but as of 2011 Infiniti will hold the title as one of the most expensive Mid-sized conventional Luxury sedans which will price at a Base figure of $51,000 which is a major leap for its already current base price of $45,500. The current BMW 5 series also prices at $45,500 but no word yet on pricing for the 2011 Model. No one expected the 2011 Infiniti M37/56 to over price the already base sticker price of the popular Mercedes E class sedan starting at $48,000. The BMW 5 series and the Infiniti M37/56 will surely be interesting to watch. Its a very competitive market.

Q: new bmw 5 series (2011 shape) or new merc e class…. which would you buy?
both are nice..but which one has the OOMPH factor. which one turns heads? which one is classier and looks more luxurious? which would you rather drive daily?

A: I’d get the new BMW 5 Series (2011 shape). It just drives smoothly, but if you want more in-car features, then Merc E class is for you.

Q: Do you think its worth Buying a 2011 Infiniti M37 sedan, or wait for the 2011 BMW 528i Sedan?
The 2011 BMW 528i sedan doesnt go on sale till June, would you wait till June to buy one or would you rather take the 2011 Infiniti M37 sedan, both start at similar price-points. Which one would be a better car? PICS below:

A: I absolutely love the M37 and think it is a better vehicle, overall, than the BMW 5 series.
The M is a new body, but the same, reliable engine found in the G37.

The M has a 3.7L, 330HP engine vs. the BMW 2.8L, 240 HP engine….for the same price.

To me it is a no-brainer, but I am partial to Infiniti.

Q: Damn! don’t you think the new 2011 BMW 5 is ugly?
man… that’s not a 5 series, that is more like an extended 3 series, I wish the E60 5 series (2003-2010) will go on, sad ((((
Antonious: yep, it is a matter of taste

Tigerr: agreed but it completely change the look of the previous successful e60

Leo: In my country, one M6 is equal to two 523i

geebs: yea, i cant afford such a car at my age , but my father is a car sales man, so i have driven all those 3-7 series, so sad that you cant afford it for life :’(

A: While the current (outgoing) 5 has been a strong seller, the new 5 will delivery even more. More traditional design (striking), a much more luxurious interior, and better handling will lure back the the defectors from audi and benz who thought the 5 was dated.

I still love the old design, but i’m sure i’ll come to love the new one even more.

Q: Survey: Infiniti, Mercedes or BMW?
( Try to determine which car you would most likley buy?)
Money not being a factor which of these 3 luxury sedans would you choose. “Neither” is not an answer. (Pics included) All these cars have a starting MSRP of $60,000

2010 Mercedes E550
http://www.tirekick.com/TK09/images/10MBenz-E-sedan-F.jpg
Tom: Not trying to be biased here but Ive actually heard the BMW 5 series has the biggest depreciation value in the mid-sized sedan market and the the Infiniti M maintians its fair market value as well as the mercedes E-class. The 550i is very impressive with 400 HP but the Infiniti does just as well with 420 HP either way all sedans are nice

A: The infiniti is by far the best out of the 3. Not only is it the superior luxury car in its class, but its a great car to have based on safety, new technologies, and keeping its value. it sounds fantastic on the road. it quickly goes from your favorite luxury car to your favorite sports car in a heartbeat. the added luxury items like their new iDrive key which adjusts to the settings you had on the vehicle, while another key could adjust to totally different settings. Also, the detail in the dashboard and interior door panels gives the car a new flare. all the new infinitis have been totally redesigned inside and out and the new M56 is a great example. its the clear winner and i’d buy one over a BMW or Mercedes anytime. i mean, the M56 just looks like a work of art. its beautiful inside and out. i mean, other manufacturers like BMW and Mercedes may have beautiful exteriors, but the interior is so bland and lacks detail. even the smallest ones make a huge difference.

Q: When is leasing a new car a good idea? When is it a bad idea?
My mom wants to trade in her 2007 Lexus ES350 and put the money down for a 3-year lease on a new 2011 BMW 5 series? Is this a good idea or should she just buy it and try to get the best financing rate she can get? How does the fact that BMW’s residual value is supposedly pretty strong play into my mom’s decision on leasing vs. buying?

A: leasing is an improper word… it should be called long term renting…

when you lease you never own the car…so you do everything a person who buys a car does..except in three years you either turn the car in, and have nothing, or buy the car all over again….

Leasing is only good for businesses, or if you are going from new york to la for three years, and won’t need the car after that….

Q: Which European car is the best?
The new mercedes e class or the 2011 bmw 5 series

A: I’d go with the new E-class. MB’s has always been know for rock solid quality construction and reliability. This started slipping a little starting in the early 90’s and took a nose dive during the marriage between Chrysler and MB. Finally with the divorce between the two, MB is returning to the heydays of solid construction and reliability. The new E-class has been extremely well received by the automotive press and has won numerous rave reviews for returning to it’s true Mercedes roots. I like both BMW and Mercedes, but lean more towards Mercedes because I own two MB’s, a 1988 & 1989 300SE (W126) with about 180,000 miles each. I absolutely love these cars due to their bank vault solid build, reliability, comfort, and fairlty inexpensive to maintain.

The new E-Class and E-class Coupe were awarded “best-looking car in the world” by AUTOBILD Magazine. 100,000 readers of AUTOBILD voted the E-Class Coupé as the best looking in the “Coupé and Cabriolet” category, as well as electing the Saloon as the overall winner among all new models.

Q: Between Both of these two Luxury cars which one would take?
Which 2011 Luxury sedan would you take? Why?

For some who may know, in 2011 many redesigned vehicles will come out to production to introduce the new generation line-up vehicles.

If you had to choose between the all new 2011 Infiniti M37-M56 and the 2011 BMW 5 series which vehicle would you choose? (between these two only) Pics are below:

I can understand where some of you are coming from. I like both vehicles. Although exterior styling can be appreciated in a BMW more then an Infiniti, I would have to say that Infiniti’s Interior’s are the best quality compared to any other luxury vehicle. Infiniti’s interior’s are stunning and flawless while BMW’s exterior styling are captivating. The 2011 M37 is expected to price at $52,000 which will certainly set the price range apart from a BMW 5 series attracting buyers with the luxury of being able to buy a half a $100,000 vehicle, so yes i would consider an Infiniti a luxury vehicle. Although come to think of it the car cost $7,000 more then its predecessor which awkwardly makes it the most expensive sedan of its competitors such as the 5 series, Mercedes E class, Audi A6, Lexus Gs. I still cant see why its so over priced? Beautiful car never the less

A: Infiniti blows away the BMW.

Thank you for playing.

Q: Which Mid-sized Luxury sedan would you buy?
Why would you choose one over the other? The only options are the following cars, no other recommendations please. =) Pics Included

A: The 5-Series is the best performing and handling and will retain its value FAR better than the other two. Toyota has just announced they’re going to barely have made a profit this year because of all of the problems reported with their vehicles and the amounts of rebates they’ve had to give to keep any sales coming in at all. The most popular aspect of a Lexus today are the number of people staying away from them.

Best of luck. I hope this helps.

Q: Car Battle: Crossover: BMW vs Acura?
BMW X6 or Acura ZDX (or BMW 5 series Gran Turisimo
consider all options and just give me your opinion

Never Seen Either of these cars:

http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/content/vehicles/2011/x6/default.aspx

http://www.acura.com/modellanding.aspx?model=zdx

A: Well in this segment all competitors consist Of the BMW X6-50i, Infiniti FX50, Porsche Cayenne S, which all have a starting MSRP of $60,000 and up while the Acura ZDX starts at an MSRP of $45,000 only offering one source of output power in terms of the engine, the ZDX only escalates in pricing when packages and options are added, the ZDX does not have a series of engines to choose from like BMW, Infiniti or Porsche, you pretty much get 300 HP at whatever MSRP you end up walking away with the ZDX. The Infiniti, BMW, and Porsche all have lower price tags aswell if you choose to go for the basic entry class model like the Bmw X6-35i, the Infiniti FX35 or the Porsche Cayenne base which all have a starting MSRP of $45,000 and up. Personally my two favorite Luxury Sport utility crossovers in this segment are the 2010 BMW X6 and the 2010 Infiniti FX50, the Porsche Cayenne was just recently redesigned and I have to say it looks 100 XX (times) better then its predecessor from last year. Porsche has really upgraded the exterior and interior appeal, it now lives up to Porsches standards in my book. The ZDX in terms power is the slowest contender in this segement. The ZDX produces 300 HP and unfortunatly they do not offer a more powerful engine, so basically “what you see is what you get.” Acura as a player in the luxury auto industry has fallen behind year by year, this does not mean its is a bad car but they have been looked down upon rather then glorified for their work these past generations. Many criticize Acura for not having a luxury sports coupe this late into the decade, they dont offer a convertible like its Rivals and the power each vehicle inherits generartion after generation doesnt really budge by much for the money you are paying in an Acura. Many people who cross shop in this segment from Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Infiniti & Lexus never seem to end up settling for an Acura….it mostly starts from Acura and work your way up for those who are just beggining to test the waters with luxury entry class vehicles, it would make sense to start through Acura as they offer you bargian prices in this segment despite the standards equipped in each of their vehicles. But then again “to each his own”. The ZDX is a sensible alternative to the X6, FX and Porsche Cayenne if your looking for something a bit more economical nevertheless equally as luxurious in thier own different ways. If your looking for something that will give you “more bang for your buck” your best bet is the 2010 Infiniti FX35 which outputs 303 HP or 390 Hp for the FX50. The FX35 has an MSRP of $43,715 which undercuts the ZDX by a couple hundred dollars, standard features include Bi-xenon Headlights, Rear view Camera, 11 speaker Bose sound system, Intelligent key and a 2 GB Music Box in all FX35 base models. If I had to choose between your choices of the ZDX, X6 or 5 series Grand turismo I would take the BMW X6 with my eyes closed.

A: Depends. If you want a comfortable front-engine GT car with good leg room and decent storage space, I’d choose the 612. If you’re more interested in a two-seater and luggage space is not a problem, either the Gallardo or the 430 would do.

I’d be sure that you thoroughly review the maintenance costs on all three cars before you buy. Contact your local Ferrari and Lambo dealers and ask them what a Major Service runs. Keep in mind that timing belts need to be changed a MINIMUM of every 8 years or 30,000 miles and budget accordingly.

The Lamborghini is the fastest, followed by the 430 and the 612. I would note that a top speed in excess of 190mph is purely academic. In my humble opinion the 612 with a Tubi exhaust would have the best sound of the three.

Ferrari will debut the front-engine V8 California for 2010.

Q: Maserati Gran Turismo S vs. Ferrari 612 Scaglietti?Why?
Maserati Gran Turismo( http://www.rsportscars.com/images/maserati/2009-maserati-granturismo-s/maserati-granturismo_s_2009_1600×1200_wallpaper_01.jpg )

vs.

Ferrari 612 Scaglietti( http://bigpicture.typepad.com/writing/ferrari-612-scaglietti-show-front-800.jpg )

Why is it better?
Why do you like it?
Best color for that car?
Speed?(MPH)

*Warning*
Please only people who are serious at answering this question with experience( ownership, care dealer, etc… ) and dignity.
–Descriptive gets Best Answer–

Thx for your feedback!

A: I’d choose the 196 mph Scaglietti. here’s what Motor Trend magazine said in a recent road test comparing i to the Aston Martin DB9, the Bentley Continental GT Speed and the Mercedes-Benz Clk 63 AMG:

The Scaglietti is the driver’s driver among this litter. This V-12 is the one you’ll flog the hardest, and the F1-A autoclutch trans becomes your partner in that crime. The 612’s steering is the most communicative, the chassis the most responsive, and the brakes the strongest (although all were superb). This cavallino rampante lets you know everything it and the road are doing, yet never punishes. Its performance, ride, and handling envelopes are large, and, strangely enough, so is its back-seat area, as noted. It’ll be interesting to see how this Ferrari’s exterior styling plays over time, as it was nobody’s fave. As the most expensive, it should deliver more. It does, and for many buyers in this category, even a hundred-grand premium is no biggie to get what they want, although one editor quipped that the Scaglietti is “a $200,000 car and an $80,000 donation to the Ferrari F1 team.”

I like the way the 612’s fender coves evoke 1950s design, I’d want mine in ice blue.

Q: How much does the Ferrari Scaglietti 612 cost?

A: In Dollars 269,950

what price would you like it in ?

Q: Good Types of Ferrari Cars?
Which type of Ferrari car is the best, for example: Ferrari Enzo, Ferraru California, Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, etc. A good Ferrari that will last long and is fuel efficient and it wont have problems every once in a while. Oh and it also has to be a convertible with a hard top like the Ferrari California. So……….any good Ferrari Cars out there.

A: Looking for the “Best” Ferrari is a relative thing because all Ferrari’s are excellent at what they were designed for, being a drivers car, it really just depends on your taste. If your looking for fuel efficiency then I would look elsewhere, even when it comes to super cars Ferrari’s aren’t fuel efficient. Every car has problems once in a while that’s unavoidable, Ferrari’s are no different. Although Ferrari’s have gotten better, If you drive it all the time then it’s going to have problems. As for the folding hard top the California was the first Ferrari with it, so it’s either the California or nothing.

From what you’re requesting it sounds like a Ferrari is not what you need to be looking at. I suggest looking into a Porsche 911, still have a lot of performance but gas mileage is very good for a sports car and they’re usually pretty reliable. However, you can’t get them with a folding hardtop. But there aren’t many sports cars with folding hardtops.

Q: How fast do these cars go?
Aston Martin DB9, Aston Martin V12 Vanquish, Dodge Viper, Ferrari Enzo, Ferrari 360 F1 Spider, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, Ferrari F1 GG50, Ferrari F50, Gumpert Apollo, Lamborghini Murcielago, Lotus Elise, Lotus Elise Version 2, Lotus Europa, Lotus Exige, Mazda RX-8, McLaren F1, Nissan 350Z S-Tune, Pagani Zonda, Pontiac Solstice, Pontiac Solstice GPX, Porche Carrera GT, Porche Cayman, Sallen S7, Tesla Roadster, Vector M12.

A: FIRST THINGS FIRST… WHY DO U NEED THIS INFO?
kk ferrari enzo = 218mph
Aston Martin DB9 = 186 MPH
McLaren f1 = 241 mph
Porsche Carrera GT = 205MPH
Pagani Zonda = 210 mph
Ferrari 612 = 199 mph
Thats all I know of the top of ma head sorry, but its easy to look up the rest.

Q: $$$ What is the cost of a Lamborghini and Ferrari? $$$?
How much is the Lamborghini:
1. Gallardo
3. Other/Older Models

How much is the Ferrari:
4. Other Models

(*Stock no special features, bare minimum)

Or any other foreign sports car…

A: Why do some guys have to be such anal dicks about stuff all the time. The kid only wanted a couple of fuckin numbers. the Duck or Dick or whatever you call yourself could just as easily clicked on auto and typed in a few numbers as opposed to his smart ass remark. And Mad Jack can go do what he probably does best and Jack off to the fuckin sight of cars all together. I get the feeling you drive your parents ford. Just because like fords, you seem to be shit.

Q: Which High Performance Car is Best?
I can buy them all:

2004 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti
2007 Mercedes CLK63 AMG Black Series
2009 (New) Nissan G-TR

All costing £65k-85k.

Which would you buy.

A: First off. The GT-R is the only “high-performance” car of the three, and it’s therefore the one I’d pick. The 612 Scag is a Grand Touring car and has the least sporty dynamics of both these three and all of the current Ferraris in the lineup. A high-performance engine does not make a high-performance car. This goes the same for the Black Series, although this is quite a lot more sporty than the Scag with the go-fast carbon fibre bits. The sad fact of the matter is that they’ve actually GAINED weight on it rather than shedded it, but it does have some decent dynamics. As for the GT-R though, its the sportiest of the three, it’s the quickest, it’s proven to have beaten a Porsche 911 Turbo around the track, and because the Scag and the Black series have no rear seats the GT-R is also the most practical. It’ll also waste the least fuel while still kicking arse on the track. The only major problem, and quite possibly a deal killer with the GT-R, is that launch control comes at a hefty price. In this case it’s first gear shredding itself to pieces, and a replacement tranny comes in at a very costly 20,000. If you don’t want it because of that reason, then go for the Black. Otherwise, the GT-R is the only high-performance car of the three.

Q: What is the most beautiful Italian sports car ever?
So many choices….Ferrari….250 GT, 612 Scaglietti, 360 Modena, 430, even the Enzo. Lamborghini…Countach, Diablo, and now their Gallardo. Alfa Romeo…with all their convertibles. Maserati…Gransport and of course Quarttraporte.

What do you think is the most beautiful Italian car ever made?

A: Lamborghini

Q: Would you rather have a Ferrari or a Maserati?
I like the 612 Scaglietti or the Maserati Quattro porte.

A: Ok you dont even know if you want a ferrari frist off. They are nothing to get excited about and you can pick a second hand one up with a part time job. If daddy has money in the bank you need to consider multiple variables. Where you live is a big factor. Is there potholes that will damage a low set car or does it snow often. Many cars handle poorly in the snow and not to mention those ferrari’s and high end cars are nothing but and engine a frame and some thin fiberglass. You get into an accident the death chance is greatly increased in those. You need to consider whether or not you can drive manual because ferrri transissions dont come cheap. If daddy wants to buy you a car safety should be top priority and take all this into careful consideration when choosing. I would lean more towards a nice foreign import such as an exotic

and how good are the infinitis bose sound sytem?
does is compare to the maximas system?

A: Go to edmunds.com and find out the going price for a G37 and the trade in for your 06 Maxima and then do the math.

Q: Why is the Infiniti G37 Coupe so ugly compared to its predecessor?
Why did Nissan change the car’s looks? The G35 coupe looks a lot more aggressive and sporty while the G37 Coupe looks like a p***y car. Especially the back grill, and the spoiler looks like crap. Infiniti should remodel it back to the way it was.

A: the look of the G37 is a evolution of the new g35 sedan. every couple years a car company will re-due the look of there vehicles. While I personally DO like the look of the new G37 ( and love the horsepower boost ) I do think that the old G35 coupe had classic lines …

Q: Im looking into getting a Infiniti G37 Coupe was looking for peoples opinion?
I have been eye balling the infiniti G37, but wanted to see what you all think about the car as looks and interface. I like sporty type cars but not really interested in the hp just looks and interface. I will be getting a new one unless i find a used one with a few miles and a good price.

A: The G is unappealing for so many reasons. Allow me to share:
It is a ticket magnet.
The coupes are everywhere.
Its interior is cheaply made and the leather is of a very low quality.
Tires won’t last more than 20,000 miles (usually about 9000).
I’ve heard less than flattering things about its reliability.
It was a fad car and the fad has (thankfully) passed.
The back seat is useless.
They depreciate pretty poorly.
The suspension feels like you’re riding plywood.
The vehicle has a “ricer” reputation.
Its “luxury” amenities leave some things to be desired.
It really appeals to younger teenagers more than adults.

I’m sure people will get defensive and disagree. But in my circle of friends and in my area (Long Island, NY), the G35/37 reflects poorly on its owner.

Q: What’s better, bmw 328i coupe, bmw 328i sedan, or infiniti g37 coupe?
I have the choice between 3 cars, the 2009 BMW 328i sedan, a 2008 328i coupe, or a 2009 infiniti g37 coupe. Whats better in terms of safety, performance, and reliability. I’m 17 years old and I’m thinking the G37 coupe might be a little TOO fast for me. What do you think?

A: If you don’t want speed, go with the BMWs. The G37 has 100 hp more than the 328i. IMO, the G37 is a little nicer and it is more reliable than the 328i sedan/coupe, but the 3 series is still a very, very nice car and it’s also more fuel efficient than the Infiniti.

Selecting the sedan or coupe is up to you.

Q: What cars are worth more than an infiniti g37 coupe and bmw 128i convertible.?
which car is worth buying…an infiniti g37 coupe or bmw 1 series convertible or coupe. Is there any car better than both of them, like i was originally going to get a bmw 3 series used coupe and for 30k but i realized that the infiniti was better and worth more since everything came standard. Is there any car better than infiniti g37 coupe? my budget is 33k and under.

A: 1950 Buick Roadmaster.

Q: I have a bad credit score and I’m planning to buy Infiniti G37 Journey?
I currently own 2005 Toyota Rav4 and the car payment is about half done. I’m planning to trade my rav4 to Infiniti G37 Journey, but I have a bad credit score(600)
My question is: Is $5000(trade-in value) enough to cover the down payment? Is it possible to get a new car with my credit score?

A: Please take my advice, do not trade in your car. Generally, car dealerships have a certain price that they cannot go below. For example, the sticker price on a car may be $18,000 but they can go as low as $14,000. I suggest you try your best to get the price as low as you can. Sell your Rav4 on your own, while it may not be as easy, the outcome is much better. Also, I stress that you do not buy this new car until you have enough money to pay at least half of it off beforehand. With bad credit, banks will jump to give you high interest loans, you’ll spend so much money in the long run that the new car won’t be worth it.

Q: How can I store mp3 files in the music box of my 2010 Infiniti G37?
I just bought the Infiniti G37 and while it mentions that songs can be stored in the music box, I’m unable to store mp3 format files. Is there anyway mp3 format files can be stored?
I’m looking specifically for mp3 file format support. I have the G37AWD with nav and prem pkg. (Added after seeing John’s answer)

A: It depends, does your G37 coupe or sedan come equipped with the (X package, Premium Package)?? If so then you should be able to download and record music with the Infiniti G37 sedans 9.3GB Music Box. If you have a Base model or Journey model you will not be able to store music in the Music Box. I have the 2009 Infiniti G37 (journey) sedan so correct me if im wrong, I am not completley positive and fimilair on the revisions they have done with the G sedan packages. I do know that the standard 2010 Journey package now comes equipped with a Back-up camera while in the 2009 models you had to opt for the Navi package (Premium Package) in order to get it. I believe that there are two ways to store music onto the G37 sedans Music box. Their should be a Flash drive or Music card where you can take out and download music directly from your computer, if not then once your ipod has been connected to your G37, scan the setting on the screen and search for the Music Box icon and Record/transfer the music from you Ipod.

Q: Where can I rent a 2009 Infiniti G37 sedan?
I want to rent a G37 before I buy to get a feel for the car a little. I might want to use it for a trip to California. I can’t find any companies that rent Infiniti’s.

A: i had a hard time finding anyone who rents one but i found someone who rents infiniti..check it out

http://infinitirental.com/

Q: How much for an Infiniti G37 monthly?
I’m planning on buying a 2009 Infiniti G37. I have good credit and all. If I put 4000 for down payment, how much would my estimated monthly payment be?

A: It depends on what loan deals Nissan has this month. Go to edmunds.com and use their loan calculator.

Q: Does anyone know the cost of insurance for an infiniti g37 for a 18 year old boy?
Apparently, the dealer says infiniti g37 aren’t technically sports cars so the insurance wouldn’t be too high for my son. I’m not to sure though..can anyone clear this matter up?

A: Think about what you just said, you’re buying a $36k sports car for your 18 year old son. Apparently costs and practicality isn’t much of an issue to you. He’ll wrap that around a pole within a year “ricin” around with his friends, guaranteed.

Q: how much is it to lease a infiniti g37?
im 17, when i turn 18 i want to buy a new car, either the lexus IS 250 or the infiniti g37 or g35. what do u suggest?

A: The website says you have to contact your dealer. http://www.infiniti.com/current-offers/g_coupe.html?next=Current_Offers_Home.G_Coupe.Current_Offers
You’ll probably need $4000 cash at signing and then $350 a month for 36 months. Your car insurance will likely also be about $300 a month if you can get coverage at all. The only way you’ll be able to get this car is if your parents sign the lease and put you on their insurance policy.

Q: What do you expect from the infiniti g37?
will it be worht the price?
will it be built nicely and durable? (i.e. will it be in the shop every month?)
is it made out to be better than it really will be?
will it be a huge success for infiniti?
what other coupes compare to it?

A: In my opinion….

The G37 is worth the price, to get that same level of performance in a luxury coupe, you’d most likely to have to spend more money. The BMW 335i and Mercedes CLK500 come to mind, and those are all significantly more expensive.

I’ve previously owned a G35 coupe, and never once was it in the shop for any repairs.

As for it being nicer than it really is…well it depends on the buyer. Some people buy the G thinking it will be a smooth, soft ride…they’re in for a shock. The G37 is a sports/gt car, and the priority is handling and performance…not a comfortable ride. If you guy the G knowing the ride will be hard because it’s a performance car, and buying the G for it’s performance….you won’t be disappointed. If you buy it because it looks nice, and think the Infiniti badge means soft luxury ride…you will be in for a shock.

Q: What is cheapest you can buy a 2008 Infiniti G37 coupe?
What’s the cheapest out the door price anyone has paid for a G37 base model? Anyone know of any factory rebates or incentives right now?

A: For someone who doesn’t have connections in the Infiniti business (me, you, or anybody else that wouldn’t) I was able to get mine for $30,500 by just doing some smooth talking. The MSRP for that model (2008 Infiniti G37 Base Coupe) is $34,900, and the invoice is $32,093. There were not any rebates or incentives when I purchased mine just a few months ago. So $30,500 is probably as low as you can get without connections. Hope that helped

Q: what will the infiniti g37 change to in the next year?
if an infiniti 2008 g37 is around 34000 now….what will the price be in september of 2009? and when will it be around 21000

A: It will always depend on the number of miles.
I still see 2005 Models of the G35 coupe for over $21,000 with 40K miles.

The future price of the car is based on supply and demand, but my best guess would be a 2008 G37 would be worth $21K in 2011 or 2012 and expect it to have about 40K miles.

Q: What is a better buy among Nissan Altima Coupe, Infiniti G37, and the BMW 3 series coupe?
Altima Coupe
G37
3 series Coupe

Feel free to give suggestions and also feel free to point out pros and cons

Thank you.

A: All three are good cars.

The Nissan Altima looks great, has good performance (3.5L engine), and is a great value for your money.

The Infiniti G37 is a better performer at 330hp, looks even better, at a higher price but still a good value — actually the best value of the three cars.

The BMW 335i coupe is also a great looking car, is a great performer at 300hp, but is overpriced and not a good value compared to the G37. Reliability is also lower than the other two cars. Maintenance costs and insurance costs are also higher.

A: the top speed will be limited @ 140 mph again or 155 mph because of safety standards and insurance purposes for Ford! it is capable of going a lot faster though!

Q: Does the 2011 Ford Mustang have an option to add a glass roof?
I know you can have a glass roof on a 2010 Mustang, but what about the 2011?
If they do offer this, do you think it would look awkward?

A: http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/mustang/features/#page=Feature6
But of course they will! Same car, just new drivetrain. It wont look awkward. Will look the same as the 2010 looks with a glass roof. So check out the website link posted. Will answer all.

Q: Is everyone else as excited about the 2011 ford mustang gt as I am?
Ford is putting the 5.0L engine back in the stang and its going to be faster then the SS Camaro and the Srt8 Charger and have a better hp/lbs ratio then them. How great are the 2011 stangs going to be
Also faster and better hp/lbs ratio then the dodge srt8 challenger as well

A: YES!!
I’m very excited and we are starting to put in our orders now.
Even those that don’t need the extra power are excited because Ford is offering big incentives on the 2010’s to make room for the 2011’s

It’s a win-win situation for everybody!.. except maybe the ‘competition’… )

Q: Around how much would it cost to insure a 2011 Ford Mustang V6?
Will the fact it’s a Mustang mean I get charged a lot. If you think about it, it’s not really more powerful than any of your luxury vehicle engine, and the car isn’t that expensive. But it is called a Mustang. The car is really powerful (305 hp), but it’s not a GT, so will I have to pay an arm and a leg? I pay about $800 a year for my RSX Type S currently.

A: Since you cleverly forgot to tell us anything about yourself, where you live, your age, your driving history, and since we don’t have rate books here, you’ll have to call an agent or company to get a quote; we can’t do it here.

Q: Spiritually speaking, should I trade in my yellow Volkswagon Beetle for a red 2011 Ford Mustang 5 liter V8?
Do you think the girls will respect me more if I turned up in this: http://2011cars.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2011-mustang.jpg

This car has more cylinders than I have inches!

A: I’d respect you more is you rode an environmentally friendly bicycle.Preferably in your tight, latex bike shorts to help accentuate your glorious man equipment.

Q: Which is better (faster) and stronger? 2011 Ford Mustang GT or 2010 BMW 335i base?
the 2011 mustang gt has like 420hp and the 335i only has 300hp. so doesn’t it make sense that the gt would own the 335i? but then how come the 335i costs like twice the price of the ford mustang 2011 gt?
or am i wrong?

A: The worth of a car is not measured by engine size, horse power or even speed. It’s all about build quality, materials use, overall driver enjoyment, service, residual values, safety, handling, and much more.

What you have with the Ford Mustang GT is a cheaply made Ford. Just look at the amount of cheap plastics used and other low quality parts in the poorly designed interior. The mechanicals are awful too. The suspension and rear axle are horribly dated, any kind of electronic stability and traction control is old fashioned.

In terms of brute force, the Mustang is the clear winner. In a straight line it will, as you put it, own the BMW (although really we are talking less than half a second difference 0-60). But throw in some real life driving, with turns, and you’d immediately appreciate the BMWs poise and handling. versus the clumsy Mustang with its single rear axle.

When you sit in the BMW, you’ll find a classically designed vehicle that has won top ten ranking by Car and Driver for something like 19 years in a row. You’ll see expensive wood, and quality materials. Everything you touch has a feel of quality to it.

You can expect good reliability from the BMW, it will hold its value well, and for the first 50,000 miles you can expect free servicing, even oil changes, brakes and wiper blades replaced for free.

Finally, if you are a grown up, you will realize that in this day and age, racing around in a muscle car so fast you can out accelerate a BMW 335i, is just going to end with bad things. Tickets, loss of license, jail, fines, you name it.

For most normal people, they are going to use their cars for a daily commute to work, and perhaps a trip at the weekends.

The BMW will ultimately be a wonderfully fast and rewarding driving experience. The Mustang on the other hand will always be a young boys racer. The harsh antiquated suspension, noise, and over the top styling, combined with that nasty interior, will grow old very quickly. And when you sell it, don’t expect to do well there. Fords are not great at holding their value. When you try to sell your Mustang, there will be a dozen others just like it, helping to keep your value down.

Finally there is insurance. The Mustangs reputation as being a car for immature males with a racing fetish will ensure they stick it to you on the insurance premiums. The in your face styling will also make you a cop magnet.

Sorry, but there is no real comparison between these two vehicles, I’d take the BMW any day over the Mustang, and gladly pay the extra for that kind of quality.

Q: what is the song that is used in the new 2011 ford mustang commercial?
i just wanted to know what that song is.

A: The song from the Ford Mustang commercial is “Light of the Morning” by Band of Skulls.

You can check out a video of the commercial and listen to the song at the link below:

Q: What’s the name of the song that’s on the 2011 Ford Mustang commercial?
All I know is “You gotta go.” My little bro loves that song and i would like to get it for him.

Q: does the new 2011 v6 ford mustang have a button for traction control ON/OFF?
im talking about the new 2011 V6 mustang that will be coming out soon. not 2010. thanks.
is the traction control button an upgrades option only on the GT? or on the v6 too? is it in the base v6?

A: It is available. Depends on the options. The v6 has the traction control as an option.

Q: How many gallons per tank are in the 2011 Ford Mustang V-6 Coupe?

A: 17 gal…

Q: Which 2011 Ford Mustang should I pick?!?
Now with the 2011 Ford Mustangs out, I am so in love with them!!!!

I decide to get a 2011 Mustang, except the GT500 (I think they are an over performance for me). The performance of both V6 and GT are so astonishing to me, that I just have to get one!!!! But that is the problem, should I get a GT or a V6?

The V6 has a 4 cylinder fuel economy, with a performance of a V8, with a cheaper price of course. The GT had just took it to the next level, with a performance not far from a Corvette, with a good fuel economy. If it was the 2010 Mustang, I will get a GT of course, the V6 is just a hell to me. Now, with both V6 and GT like that, it is so hard to pick…. Since the only difference between this 2 is GT with the higher power, but V6 with the higher fuel economy. The handling and braking is pretty much the same.

I have already owned a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (Got it used so don’t laugh please), and I think I just want a Mustang to cruise but sometime I want to have a blast with performance. With both huge powers, perfect fuel economies, and everything about them is just perfect…. I do not know which one to pick, a V6 or GT. Please Help! Thank You!

A: You are one lucky man to have the chance to choose. Im just hoping i can afford either one. Id say go for the GT (5.0) because every mustang enthusiast and competitor know that the legendary 5.0 is the boss baby. The minute you pull up and they see that blinding 5.0 badge they will shit their pants haha. five-oh all the way +5.0

Q: 2011 Ford Mustang, what do you think?
Ford is boosting the horsepower for the 2011 Mustang. The V6 model will have 305 Hp and a dual exhaust system. Also the 2011 Mustang GT will have a 5.0 Liter 302 cubic inch V8 kicking out 415 ponies. So which would you choose?

Is a 305 hp V6 enough power for you? Way cheaper than a GT and still has lots of kick.
Or do you have the need for speed? In other words would you get a 415 hp Stang GT?
@ Alexx: Yeah, the Mustang Shelby GT is one sweet ride, but there are not many working class joes that can afford one of those ponies. Maybe if I win the lottery bud.

A: mustang has always been a great pony car. sure its battling the challenger and the camaro. but even tho those r somewhat better looking…. the new mustang is a bombshell handling is bar none and the mustang has been around forever and never disapeared while the camaro and challenger have disapeared b4 and barely been revived. camaro is stunning but visibility sucks. challenger really impressive but…. to heavy for real performance drving. if i were u depending on how much moolah u have id get the 2011 shelby mustang

Q: Looking for a fancy 2011 Ford Mustang?
I want a solid black mustang with the “M U S T AN G” stripe at the bottom. I live in Columbus, IN. Where can i find one, or where can i customize and order one?

A: A Ford dealer once they come out.

Q: Can someone give me the full review of the 2011 Mustang?
I’m very interested in the 2011 Ford Mustang but I dont know too much about them. Can anyone give me the review (including pros and cons) of the Mustang and the Mustang GT?

A: …here you go!!! there are pics of the whole car(the rearview too) and info on it here!!!

Q: How low do the Aston Martin DBS and DB9 sit above the ground?
I know the DBS is lower, but by how much? It looks like it would be tricky to drive in urban environments.

A: The DB9 sits 83mm above the ground,
the DBS sits 72mm abouve the ground.
Neither are especailly tricky to drive in urban areas, but as with all prestige cars, be careful!

Q: How does the Aston Martin DBS key work?
I know the DBS has a very special key, it´s a Saphire key. You insert it into the key hole, and it glows red meaning the engine is ready to start, is this true? Or does it just use a normal key?

A: Instead of a key, the Aston Martin DBS uses an “ECU,” or emotion control unit. It’s a rectangle of black plastic capped by a rectangle of crystal with the Aston Martin badge inside. Like any other remote key, it has lock, unlock and trunk functions. Unlike most other remote keys, it sinks all the way into the ignition slot until the top of the crystal is flush with the console. Also, it lacks a hole for a keyring, which can make for some panicky ECU moments. Luckily, it’s heavy enough to be noticed no matter what pocket you slip it into.

Q: What is the release date for the 2008 Aston Martin DBS and Aston Martin’s Vanquish S?
I would like the year and I would also like to know if it is sold in the Ohio or any of the other states. Details about the cars would be helpful if it is possible. Thank you very much!

A: Have you been stuck in a cupboard for the last year my friend? 2008 has gone. Check out Yahoo! Autos, and select your car under the used cars, make sure that you set the distance to nationwide. That’s a very nice, and expensive car(s). If your going to buy either, hats off to you. I personally have been working towards getting a decent down payment for a Ferrari, but I’m getting out of topic. Hope it helps. Good luck!

Q: Where do I find a replacement James Bond Aston Martin DBS RC Car Antenna?
It was originally purchased at Radio Shack and they no longer have it. I’ve tried a few hobby stores in town but they have all gone out of business.

A: Ebay or google shopping.

Q: 10 points for the first person to find me pictures of a black Aston Martin DBS?
Has to be desktop wallpaper size, the car must be black (not matt), and it must be the production version and not the concept.

A: http://www.flickr.com/photos/noahgillard/2770115584/

I searched in yahoo images.

Q: Which Car Would You Rather Have Aston Martin DBS or Bentley Continental GT?
You can answer on pool here: http://www.harddecision.com/2009/01/20/bentley-continental-gt-vs-aston-martin-dbs/
I’d rather have Bentley Continental, cause I think it shows more prestige than DBS.

A: I would get the Bently.

Higher Top speed. Quicker acceleration. AWD so it is drivable in snow.

Q: So if you saw the Yahoo article about Lysacek wanting to buy an Aston Martin DBS, where is the money coming?
How does he get the money to buy the car? Do the olympics pay you to be a winner? How much do you get paid? Or are his parents buying it?

A: Is he the ice skater or the racy photo guy. It would be esy to say the pictures got him a ton of dough. I should know. If he is a skater then endorsement deals will buy him the aston martin.

Q: What colour would you have the Aston Martin Dbs in ?
what colour would you have the Aston Martin dbs in

Lightning silver > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNkoH9SIl9g

or

Black Saphire
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdxypLqrZjs&feature=related

Have a look at the two different colours and make your choice thank you

A: hey

iv just bought the DB9 in jet black and it looks stuning.

so i would say go for the black.

Q: How to open the gas cap of an Aston Martin DBS?
Don’t worry, i will not steal the car! XD I’m just curious. Thanks in advance!

A: If i’m not mistaken there is a button under the bottom the the driver seat to release the cap…this is pretty common on most import cars.

Q: Whats the difference Between the aston martin dbs and the aston martin db9?

A: one has s in its name other has a 9

Q: which car would you choose the ferrari Scaglietti vs aston martin dbs vs lamborgini dbs vs sl65brabus?
which car would you choose and why
i mean the lp640

A: Lamborghini DBS??
I would take the Lamborghini (gallardo, superleggera, lp560), but the Aston DBS would be a very, very close second. I would actually prefer the V8 vantage, i think it looks, and sounds better.

Q: i thaught james bond quantum of solace was sopouse to have an aston martin dbs chace seen?
i thaught james bond quantum of solace was sopouse to have an aston martin dbs chace seen

A: it does right at the beginning. During filming, the stunt driver delivering the car for the scenes lost control of the car in April 2008 in a severe storm, and drove the only car then reportedly available for filming into Lake Garda.
To the post above. Quantum of Solace is the title of a short story written by Ian Flemming as well as the movie.

Q: which car is better Audi r8 or Aston Martin DBS?
I know both cars are nice, however based on comparing price, speed, fuel economy etc. which ones is better? Thanks for taking your time and answering.

A: The Audi benefits from better engineering than the Aston Martin. They have similar performance in a straight line, but the Audi handles so much better. The Audi is less expensive than the Aston Martin, and it also gets better fuel economy. However, the Aston Martin is much more exclusive. Both cars are drop-dead gorgeous, but if you’re looking to pick up members of the opposite sex, then the Aston Martin DBS is the car for you, simply because of Casino Royale. It has been described as “sex on wheels.” Personally, I enjoy the driving experience more than cruising the strip or Rodeo Drive, so I would choose the Audi R8. It is also better given the parameters you defined.

Q: How much does Aston Martin DBS V12 have….?
I was just wondering. How much horsepower does a Aston Martin DBS V12 have. And also how much Fully loaded do they run ??? Thanks….

A: 512 horsepower/ 420 lbs of torque. There is no basemodel version, they are priced with an MSRP of 269,000

If you want any other information on this car or any other, check out vehix’s website. The link is below…

A: no way in hell that the porsche is faster 555 horses to the bmw. that is a true peice of art. go bmw all the way.

Q: Has Porsche discontinued the Cayenne GTS Manual Transmission for 2011?
Porsche has a special version of the Cayenne called the Cayenne GTS. In performance terms is sits between the Cayenne S and the Cayenne Turbo. It is unique in that it comes standard with a manual transmission where the S and the turbo only come in automatic. I dont see the GTS version as being available on the Porsche website.

A: Odd that the S would only come in automatic?
Seems contradictory.
But I also could no longer find GTS references.
I will never buy an automatic as long as I live.

Q: 08 Porsche Cayenne depreciation by 2011?
So our family has been looking to buy a 2008 Porsche Cayenne (or Cayenne S), but I heard about the 2011 model coming out around first quarter of 2010. So obviously since there is a Cayenne with a new look coming out the 08 model will sell for much less, and I was wondering if anyone else agrees with me to just wait until that one comes out so that we don’t have to pay as much for the 08 model?

A: Get the 2008. Who knows what is gonna be wrong with the 2011.

Q: If anyone owns Porsche Cayenne 06 please let me know if you like that car.?
If anyone owns Porsche Cayenne 06 please let me know if you like that car. I am looking to buy Porsche Cayenne 06 but a little concern about the year since the new 2011 are debuting this summer

A: If you need the room, it is a good buy.
If you don’t need the room, then one of the other models would handle better.

The year won’t matter that much.
Porsche does not change that much year to year.

And warranty is not a plus.
You pay through the nose for it.
A totally rebuilt engine, such as for a Boxster, is only $6.5k
There are engines that go for much more, but that is not typical.
Here is a link to a rebuilt Porsche engine src:

-Mercedes E350 Coupe

A: The X5 – M starts at $85,000 before any options.
The Cayenne is $46,000
The Benz will set you back over $48,000

How do you intend to pay for this vehicle? The cheapest car on the list will set you back $900 a month and that is before you pay for insurance (which will be outrageous for a 25 year old) or put your first drop of fuel in the tank or pay for the $1200 scheduled maintenance appointments.

Q: What is your dream car?
I really like Audi R8s right now…. but I change my mind all of the time. What is your dream car?

A: As far as something someone could buy I’d say a Ferrari F430.

If I could say any car period, I’d go with the McClaren F1

Q: What’s a good present for a guy?
He’s turning 16 and he likes fishing, lamboghinis, audi r8s, modding computer games and food (loves chocolate). I’m his potential girlfriend, what’s a good present for him? I’m not a millionaire, mind.
By the way I’m very good at cooking and making crafty objects.

A: well why not make him something that will remind him evertime he looks at it that u gave this gift to him.with ur craft skills i bet u can condure up something that will dazzle and suprise him.

A: i have midnight la ps3 and i highly recommend it. it has muscle tuners and EXOTIC cars. one good thing is you can customize everything on the cars and make your own paints and things like stewie on the cars. it also has many cars you can see them at http://www.rockstargames.com/midnightclubLA/ . very good game hope you get it
for another opinion i would use gamestop.com or ign.com hope this helped
ps. i did not see it that hard i beat the game and when u beat it you get un-limited $
