Q: How much should I pay for a 2010 Hyundai Elantra GLS?
How much should I pay for a new 2010 Hyundai Elantra GLS? I want to get one, but I don’t want to get ripped off. How cheap can you really get these cars?

A: There is currently cash back rebate of $1500 on the Elantra GLS with base MSRP of $16,900. Assume the car has at least floor mats/cargo mat for another $175 and you are at $17,075+$720 Freight for total of $17,795. Now I’d ask for at least $1000 off the price plus the $1500 rebate and pay $15,295 at most prior to tax/title/fee’s. If there are 2 Hyundai dealers in your area you’ll be able to get an even better price. Most dealers will do price quotes by email, this will save you time BSing with the sales manager and driving around.

Q: Does anyone know the name of the techno song in the new 2010 Hyundai Elantra tent sale commercial on radio?

A: “Red Sky Warning”

Q: Hyundai Elantra 2010?
I’m turning 16 and I wanted to get a new car, I heard the 2010 Hyundai Elantra is good, is it for a first car? Thanks so much:)
Can you get a new one with $14,000?

A: I would save a few thousand dollars and get a KIA instead for a first car. I doubt you will get an Elantra for that price. A new KIA can be gotten for under $10,000.

Q: my 2010 hyundai elantra has no temp gage just a idiot warning light is this safe?
should i install a gage or be confident with the warning light, this is a stupid thing for hyundai to do for a 2010 model 20,000 car

A: we have not seen any issues with this light. it is very effective. besides if there is an issue with the coolant system it will set a check engine light.

Q: Does anyone know the speaker sizes of the 2010 Hyundai Elantra?

A: if you go on crutchfield.com you can view all the specs for the speakers in your car. it is also necessary to know the depth of the speaker when replacing a stock one.

Q: 2010 Honda Civic vs. 2010 Hyundai Elantra?
I’m looking to get a new car, either the 2010 Honda Civic LX Sedan or the 2010 Hyundai Elantra GLS. I’m a 19-year-old college student. I just want the car that is more reliable and comfortable to drive. Whichever one will cost less to maintain and last me longer. Any suggestions?

A: You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.deep-ice.com

Q: Issues with 2010 Hyundai Elantra alarm system.?
I just purchased a 2010 Hyundai Elantra a week ago and not a day has gone by where I haven’t grabbed my keys and gone running to my car because the alarm would randomly go off. I’ve tried everything from to open and shutting all the doors along with the hood and trunk, to checking the sensor and attempting to disable the battery. Yet to no avail was I able to get it to stop randomly going off and I’ve had to resort to just locking the doors by key to avoid arming the alarm. I’m curious if anybody else has had this issue and what you did to fix the problem. I tried calling the dealer hoping he would have some insight since after all he is a Hyundai dealer. All he told me was to bring it in and since it’s a good 40 miles away and I work 10 hour shifts 7 days a week this isn’t exactly feasible and am hoping somebody else would know what could be going on?

A: These Elantras have a pretty common problem with the hood switch. If your hood switch is not adjusted correctly, it will randomly make the vehicle think the hood is being opened when the alarm is armed, causing the alarm to go off.

I know this is frustrating, and I’m sorry to hear how far you are from your dealer. Call your dealer and ask them if they provide transportation or pick-up service. Many dealers will offer to have a Driver bring you a loner vehicle, usually a newer model Hyundai, and drive your vehicle to the shop for warranty complaints to avoid you having to make a long trip for a problem that is covered by your warranty.

Please know that this is one of very few common problems with the Elantra, they are probably Hyundai’s most reliable vehicle and you made a good choice in getting one. Ask them to check for any open campaigns while it is in the shop.

I Hope that you get your problem resolved.

Q: is the 2010 hyundai elantra touring a good car?
is it safe? basically i wanna know if you would put your kid in that car ..

A: Take a look at the first link below for crash test rating for the 2009 Elantra Touring (same as the 2010). The second link also has safety ratings from Europe. Basically it received four to five stars for all categories. I own a 2009 Hyundai i30 (Elantra Touring in N. America) in Korea and absolutely love the car. It is sporty, economical, safe, comfortable, affordable with a long list of standard features. The i30 was designed in Germany primarily for the European market. The i30 has won numerous awards since its introduction. Take a look at the second link below for more information on the i30.

In 2004, Hyundai tied with Honda for initial brand quality in a survey/study from J.D. Power and Associates, for having 102 problems per 100 vehicles. This made Hyundai second in the industry, only behind Toyota, for initial vehicle quality. The company continued this tradition by placing third overall in J.D. Power’s 2006 Initial Quality Survey, behind only Porsche and Lexus. Hyundai/Kia Automotive Group is the world’s fourth largest automaker (second in Asia) in terms of units manufactured and sold per year and one of the Big Asian Four (with Toyota, Honda and Nissan).

In recent interviews with Toyota executives, they have expressed concerns about Hyundai-Kia and their market share. Hyundai-Kia is the only automobile manufacturer that Toyota fears – and that says something. Hyundai-Kia is the fastest growing foreign brand in China and is the largest exporter of cars in India (Hyundai has plants in both countries). Hyundai-Kia was the only major automaker to sell more vehicles in 2009 than 2008.

Edit: Hyundai Elantra and Avante are different from the Elantra Touring (which is the i30 or i30 estate). They share the same chassis and engines but that is about it.

Q: I am looking at buying a 2010 Hyundai Elantra..HELP!?
I am intersted in buying a 2010 Hyundai Elantra. Test drove it and really like the way it drives.
Before I decide to make a serious offer for this car I want to be provided with enough information to help me get the lowest possible price. They have a few rebates and such that I will be able to take advantage of. What I am looking for is to find out what is price that the dealership paid for this car. So that when I go start negotiating prices I can have some backing.
Anyone know where I can find how much dealers get there new cars for? Not the MSRP price.

WIll choose the best answer within 24 hours!

Thank you!

A: 2010 Hyundai Elantra. GL or SE model Test drove it and really like the way it drives.
Oh yea that’s an awesome vehicle i say go for it just make sure u get a good deal don’t let them jerk u around ok good luck

Upon introduction, the Blue is equipped with a standard 2.0-liter, I4, 138-horsepower engine that achieves 26-mpg in the city and 35-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard. The SE is equipped with a standard 2.0-liter, I4, 138-horsepower engine that achieves 27-mpg in the city and 36-mpg on the highway. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is optional

Q: What is a good down payment for a 2010 Hyundai Elantra GLS.?

A: That would depend on what you call a good down payment… you may call $1000 good, someone else may say $5000… I would say whatever the car was going to cost me.

Q: 2010 Hyundai Elantra or 2010 Mazda3?
I’m a college student, and I can afford both of these cars, but I’m torn on which one to get. The Hyundai has a better warranty, and is a little bit cheaper. But the Mazda is a lot nicer-looking and sportier, for a 19-year-old male like myself. Any suggestions?

A: There both good choices, you should compare these two cars at autos.aol.com, The Mazda has the highest consumer ratings and is more fun to drive, the Hyundai has better gas mileage but a lower resale value. The Hyundai is more comfortable than the Mazda. So if your looking for a sporty, has a cheap cost to own, valuable car that can carry lots of stuff, (with the hatchback), then get the Mazda. But if your looking for something comfortable, and economical, get the Hyundai. In my opinion, get Mazda.

Q: 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring or 2010 Honda Fit?
which one has more space? which one is better quality?

A: the Hyundai is bigger by 2 to 3 inches on every interior dimension, it also has a bigger engine and much better acceleration but that means less mpg 23 / 31 vs27 / 33

the Honda would have a higher resale value but ultimately, you’d get more car for your dollar with the Hyundai as well as a longer/better warranty

so do you want better acceleration or better mileage.

Q: engine oil 2010 hyundai elantra gls 2.0?
my owners manual calls for conventional oil every 3750 miles or six months, hyundai said it doesn’t recommend synthetic, if i do use synthetic will this effect my warranty…………………..

A: You may use synthetic 5W-20 oil in your new Hyundai worry-free. Congress in 1975 enacted the federal Magnuson-Moss Act to regulate written consumer product warranties. An examination of the law reveals warranties remain intact when synthetic lubricants are used.

Synthetic oil is the best choice for any vehicle in the long run. While they will cost more at the time of your oil change, they will save you more money over the service life of your vehicle.

For example, over the course of 25,000 miles, the cost of regular dinosaur oil with a drain interval of 3000 miles will require at least 5 quarts and a filter per oil change, for 25,000 miles you will need 40 quarts and 8 filters, this comes to a total of about $168.00 (40 quarts @ $3.00, 8 filters @ $6.00).

For the same vehicle using top-of-the-line AMSOIL 100% Synthetic Oil with a drain interval of 25,000 miles in conjunction with an AMSOIL Absolute Efficiency oil filter, you will need 5 quarts and 1 filter, this comes to a total of about $59.75 (5 quarts @ $8.75, 1 filter @ $16.00).

You would save $108.25 over conventional oil by using AMSOIL premium synthetic oil. This, along with the benefits of better wear protection, lower engine temperatures, improved fuel efficiency and easier cold-weather starts. All of these benefits add up to reduced operating costs and longer engine life.

Q: how fast is a 2010 hyundai elantra.how many bhp. Also is it powerfull.the engine looks powerfull.?

A: The 2.0 I4 produces 138HP and 136 Torque, so it has plenty of power for a car of it’s size. Top speed is probably around 120MPH.

Q: Which small family car is best: 2010 Hyundai Elantra, 2010 Honda Civic or something else?
We really need a reliable car that’s comfortable and safe for our new baby! We’re a young couple (23 and 24) and don’t want to spend time fixing crap as soon as we drive off the lot! We also want decent gas mileage.

A: Both cars are reliable but the better car is the Hyundai. It’s bigger, especially the interior, so it’s more comfortable, has a much better warranty and undercuts the Civic by like $2000.
Just as a side note my 9 year old Elantra has 155,000 miles and the most reliable car I’ve ever bought.

IMO Honda’s name supersedes it’s actual quality. Not a bad car at all, just overpriced for what you get. For the price of a mid level Civic you can get a fully loaded Elantra. No real reason for getting a Civic.

Don’t be surprised if you run into a lot of Honda fan-boys that will say stuff like “Honda’s last forever, everything else sux”. Not good to be so blinded by something that you ignore the facts. None of them are perfect but mostly all of the car companies nowadays makes a decent car.
